Moving Over to Tumblr

Hey everyone!

As you may have noticed, I haven't updated on here for a while. In fact, this will be my last post over here - from now on, I'm officially making tumblr my home for posting news/sketches/etc.

Come over and visit me on tumblr! www.jacquilee.tumblr.com

I finally found some time to set up an online shop with Society6! If you're interested in purchasing any prints, I have a few things up already and will be adding more in the next few months.

Murilla Gorilla and the Lost Parasol!

I already posted about this over on tumblr, but I received a copy of the second Jungle Detective book in the mail last week!

I think one of the most exciting parts about working on children's books is getting to hold the final product and flipping through its pages - it's such a great feeling after spending so long staring at it on a computer screen. I'm really happy with the way this one turned out.

Murilla Gorilla and the Lost Parasol is due out this October 2013!

Murilla Gorilla and the Lost Parasol

There is officially a second book in the Murilla Gorilla series! I actually finished working on this just a few months ago, and the release date is set for early this fall - exact date TBA. I thought I would share the cover and small snippet from the Simply Read Books catalogue.

Summer Patterns

Whew! It's been a while since I updated on here. I've been posting more regular updates over on my tumblr - if you're on there too, feel free to say hi!

Here are a couple of patterns I've been working on - what's says summer more than junk food at the carnival and lots of ice cream?

Hello!Lucky Alphabet Birth Announcements

I once again had the opportunity to work with Hello!Lucky stationery and letterpress out of San Francisco - this time on a set of 13 animal-alphabet themed illustrations for their new line of birth announcements. This project was a ton of fun, and as always Hello!Lucky were wonderful to work with. They do so much great work - check out their latest (and my new favourite) greeting card line printed with neon ink and gold foil.
